Yes.. you read the title right? I was shocked to see that UiTM would actually think of offering blogging as a course!! Maybe its different and unusual.. but please-lah.. It seems so unpractical.

Before you jump to conclusions, hear me out..

I am not against blogging courses, but what is the point of having a degree for blogging? Its not like bloggers like me myself actually put it on my resume and walk around wearing a neck ties saying I have experience in blogging?? Altough I do wish that would actually find me a job.

In fact, most of us bloggers are self employed, and some.. just like me, write for the fun of it… When Advertlets and Nuffnangs came in… the income started to get serious, and with advertising from AdSense, then it got a little real. But other than that.. blogging remains a place to share.. and to be heard.. but not a place to actually earn the hard cold cash as I see most people just do it as a side income.

Thinking about the course, I was wondering whether UiTM would invite Kenny Sia as one of their lecturers. But then again, will he be able to use his cynical language and his sometimes harsh expression which we all adore shall he be the chosen one to give lectures? Will there be any freedom for blogging? Would this new breed of bloggers with a degree actually be more matured? Or will these bloggers eventually end up filling in applications to become teachers to enjoy the degree scale pay the government is offering?

Oh hell.. if they want to offer a course in blogging, might as well go on to Masters and PhD. Maybe I can apply for the course and get some hike in pay… It is also an opportunity for me!! but, at this very moment, I just think its all Nonsense….
