When They Don’t Realize It
This article from the New Strait Times entitled “Schoolgirls forced to take drugs” is nothing surprising for me because it is something you hear so commonly in schools which are so close to towns. Nonetheless, I just have to wonder why this things could actually happen in our society.

Maybe I am still too darn young or old to understand why some choose the path which they know is bad. Maybe its just me, not knowing how the whole community works. Maybe its just me, not actually exposed to this type of things when I was a secondary school student. There’s so many maybe’s…and a lot of possible answers… yet, none would be satisfying I guess.

To be frank, the Malaysian education is a total screw-up. Nowadays you hear those radical people saying “Use BM for Maths and Science“.. and another group saying ” NOOOOO!!! English is the better way!!, the you have the “School fees are too high!!” and.. those supportive voices which say… “Schools need those fees.. so don’t complain“ Ahhhh… So much fuss! In fact, I still deem certain things introduced as a waste of money, when more could be done to improve the standard of education such as making teacher’s more appreciated by the community.

Anyway, with The New Strait Times highlighting such an issue, I just pray and hope that teachers are not to be blamed. Parents do have responsibilities you know…. and after school hours… its their job to keep their children out of harms way. Another interesting thing to note is the fact that the age of these girls. If you were to read the article, you would definitely notice that they start taking drugs at 14. 14!!!!!! That’s such a young age! I think I was still busy getting use to life when I was 14!! Nonetheless, I was once told that teens normally get very easily influenced at 14.. so.. maybe its not really a surprise that 14 is the age they start taking drugs.

Despite that, I do feel a little sad that students nowadays can obtain such bad things so easily, and then those whom love them use and influence them for their own gains. I may not be any expert in love, but I still do feel that when you love something, you should always make sure they are safe and happy… and not use them for your own good. Nonetheless, as they say.. “the world is evolving“.. and at the moment, I know these young teenage girls just don’t realize it until its too late… which is really too bad…..
Oh ya.. do note that the photo’s are just for illustration purposes only..
