Doing It In Style

I don’t know whether I should be thankful that my school just concluded its 1st exam for the year 2008. I do have to say that my students are not really creative when taking exams. I mean, look at these guys… See the style they are ‘doing it’?

Notice the hand under the head?

Different person(obviously).. but still the same style..
Yeah.. I know, it practically the same!
Ahhh… but mommy told me ‘never to judge a book by its cover‘.. so I do not want to speculate about their results, altough I can foresee the near future.. and it looks kind of bleak… hehehe…

With exams done, the most boring part of it comes by.. which is marking those exams! For this exam, I would be paying heavily for my laziness in setting the question papers because, I kind of put in more structured and essay questions. If you don’t already know, structured questions are easy to prepare, but marking them is just hell!! You can easily get 20 different answers for a simple questions, and then, you just have to consider whether its right or wrong! You have to try to be fair, and also considerate, and of course learn how to make simple remarks like this one…

Tell me, what is small, and what is BIG?? hehehe.. I swear if you say this out loud at the right place, and at the right time.. it would be so funny..
And of course you have to be able to read the sentence “Because blah blah blah…” in 80 different handwritings, that at some point actually make learning French back in University seems so much easier!
Well, I think marking does have its benefits, especially for this coming election as we teachers do get to practice a hell lot on how to do a proper ‘X’ on those ballot papers.

Making an ‘X’ is really hard, that my students were actually kind enough to help me train a little more on their papers. How kind of them…

I think, if I do vote, and manage to successfully draw a beautiful ‘X’ on the ballot paper, I’d have to give a public speech, thanking all those whom was kind enough to allow me to practice, and vote successfully… and for my student’s reading this… its a NO!!!.. No bonus marks for those whom helped me draw the ‘X’ for my very fist vote for the country. I could give you ‘an egg‘ tough..hehehe
