City Of Light

Finally… the course about ICTL (Information Communication Technology Literacy) has been done with. I can’t say I am glad that its over because I will miss the great food offered by Grand Continental Hotel. Apart from the Microsoft Visual Basic Express slot, nothing new was gained from the course which focussed on how to teach introductory computer skills towards the students *disappointed*. The whole time, I though I shouldn’t be even attending this course because I don’t teach the lower form (which this programme is actually meant for), and I basically know what has been thought in the slot.

Just to give you a few updates on the course… We were briefed on how to teach and use Microsoft Words, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access,Microsoft Power Point. Also in the slots was ways to create a web page from Microsoft Words, and basic Visual Basic. The one thing which made me surprised is the fact the teachers lined up to get food. I have never been to a course with fellow teachers before, and its really a surprise that teachers are just well disciplined to make a line even when not instructed.

After the course, I went over to the only HSBC branch in Kuching to get more info on their credit card. At the moment, I do own a CIMB credit card, but since CIMB is a local bank, and I do intend to travel often, I wanted something international. Since Citibank does not have a proper branch in Kuching, I selected HSBC. Everything was okay, and my application for the Visa and MasterCard credit card was approved for processing. To take full advantage of my application, I applied to open an account at the bank too. At the end of the process, I was referred to one of their finance officers (again) for insurance which I ended up signing up for…

Apart from the unique interior design within HSBC, I did notice some sweet female officers they had (there was like 3-5 of them). I didn’t have the courage time to take their photos , but with such beautiful faces serving in a bank, its no wonder why they have very good business, especially from the guys.

Judging from my previous days, I think this one was better. I felt a lot better in the sence of not feeling that down, plus I did manage play badminton till I was really tired. Maybe Princess Eileen is right, its just hormones. But then, I still wished to get some hot girl like my previous post knock on my door.

Anyway, here’s a great song for you to enjoy… by Umbrellas entitled The City Light
