Getting My Eye’s Checked Out

Well, its a photo(taken from KapanLagi) of Malaysian VJ Ashraf Sinclair (Also acted inGol & Gincu 2, Realiti) with his new girl, Bunga Cinta Lestari (yes.. its actually a name). Now look at Bunga.. WOW!! I would definitely like to trade places with Arhraf… Maybe I should go to Indonesia..heheh… Hmm.. now I know (with proof) why Malaysia is no more a preffered destinations for international artist. Even our own local hot guys are heading for Indonesia!
I’m quite sure that most of you are aware that the Beyonce concert is off. I did mention it in my previous post about this, but I never expected her to shift her concert to Indonesia. *sigh* I’m no businessman, but I think even a 7 year old knows that this is BAD for Malaysia. Malaysia is always the preffered choice of international artist(after Singapore), but with absurd rules on dress codes, I guess Indonesia, which is the worlds MOST Muslim populated nation would definitely stand to benefit.
Malaysia wants international singers to become more ‘Siti Nurhaliza’ when performing here.
What actually baffles me is this fact; Why does a Muslim dominated country such as Indonesia allow such things, yet Malaysia which says to the world that it is a moderate and multiracial country dis-allows it? Okay… I get the respect part, i.e respecting other people of other religion, sensitivity of other races… I really get it, especially when you live in a multiracial country.. I TOTALLY get it! What I don’t get is why is Indonesia could allow it without conditions, yet Malaysia come up with so much guidelines? Are we just so ‘conventional’?? So traditional?? Is it a fact that most Malaysians are so easily influenced/not matured??? I was browsing through pictures of Beyonce, looking for something ’sexy, steamy, hot, and not mentioning totally obscene’ to prove that she is in fact a bad influence to Malaysians. The best I could find on Google images is this:
Now.. I don’t really expect Beyonce to do a concert in this outfit, right??
Maybe my eyes are getting really blur… You know.. from those huge amounts of time spent over internet, over the computer. I have been, after all been spending more than 7 hours in front of the computer, and I do feel that it has in a way made my vision deteriorate. Maybe it has also clouded my views on whether someone can be deemed too sexy to be allowed to perform in Malaysia, just like the Beyonce’s case above. I guess, I do need proof that my eye sight is getting worst, and this simple eye-test I found in Daniel’s interesting blog is just the thing I need:

I totally agree with you! I thought of the exact same thing when I heard that her concert venue was shifted to Indonesia. I mean, you’ve seen their reaction on the Playboy magazines..they protested and all that..but they could still tolerate Beyonce’s concert.
I don’t agree with the whole “holier than thou” mentality maintained by some groups in Malaysia. Too much of a good thing is bad for you..don’t you think?

Malaysians shd just start taking a kiss for just what it is… a KISS! did you hear/read abt the fuss that kiss created? it even came out in the paper… Gawd… we even screen and cut the kissing scene! and blurrised the cleavage! We Malaysians (u know which group)are so obsessed with decency that it’s becoming regressive to the point of pushing the rest of us to be rebellious! i mean… give us a break! it’s the 21st century! u can cut the sex scene off any movie you want, but dont touch the kissing scene. I personally think it’s immature… and unless they cant enjoy it, dont make the rest of us cant either…

Yeah.. I agree.. Too much of a good thing is bad for you.. . I totally get it when you mention about Playboy.. Thats like totally directed to Pron.. but Beyonce??? For goodness sake!! Beyonce??? Its not like she’s gonna strip naked or something, right?

Thats one reason I prefer to buy the ‘cetak rompak’ VCD/DVDs. Whats the point of paying RM8, when all you get is censorships? I think kissing and hugging in public is nothing huge. Having sex in public would definitely bring it to another level, and therefore should be banned. If you read the rules and regulations of performing artist, you’d feel that Malaysia is the MOST boring country in the world!! e.g: No shouting, no mingling with fans, no this, no that.. Do they expect us to sit down like good boys/girls during a concert?? That wouldn’t be a concert at all!!

Hmm.. Admiring beauty, and teaching porn is two different things. I may feature a lot of sexy girls here, but I surely don’t bring it to class… We must be professional *smile*
