It was too good to believe.. AirAsiaX is FINALLY here!!! and look at what they are offering!!!
Too bad that this offer only stands for two days (29-30 Sept 2007), and travel is during the school days which means, I can’t take advantage of this inaugural flight by AirAsiaX.

Nonetheless, I was curious to see what they could offer on their Xtra long flights.. so I went undercover, and tried to book a ticket to the Gold Coast, Australia. Check out what I found out:

FACT One:

You need to pay for cargo fees(checked baggage)! Only hand luggage is FREE… For 1-15kg, you will be charged RM20!! more kilos means hundreds more to pay!! (Really smart lahh AirAsia.. No one going on vacation/studying will bring only their hand luggage!! )

FACT TWO

You will be provided 4 types of meals, which cost RM20 each!! (Okay.. if your a kid, you get kids meal, if you want the exclusive meal, you get it also at RM20. So tell me, if Nasi Lemak cost RM6 on AirAsia now.. and a bottle of plain water cost RM3, means for RM20, you might get 2 Nasi lemak and 2 bottles of plain water.. imagine how full you could be!! Quite a bargain ehh??!!)

FACT THREE

For the first time.. you can choose your seats!! but every seat cost RM20 (standard) and RM100 (more legroom)!! (This one I like, I’ll be betting my money that the legroom for the normal seats are just like the current AirAsia planes.. like really really tiny and small..)

Now.. from the basic RM50, I had already accumulated RM342 + RM20 for other services they force want me to take.

Add all that up.. excluding the Go-Insure insurance, I get to pay RM362.00!!! Is that cheap or what??

Oh ya, upon booking, you will already have to pay RM342.00, and if you do not wish to get the Go-insure, the seat allocation, and the meals, and extra weight for checked baggage, then you ONLY get to pay only RM342.00!! Cheaper right??

At the moment, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for more promotions from AirAsiaX!! Australia… HERE I COME!!!
